Goal
- Jump and spin 180° (frontside rotation)
- Regular and switch
- Explain the difference between frontside and backside rotation
Where
Flat slope (blue run); well-prepared, grippy slope

How
Prepare the upper body by pre-rotating in the opposite direction of travel. Ollie either off a flat base or off the toe edge. In the air, rotate the body 180° in a frontside direction. Land on the uphill edge of the board absorbing the jump with both legs. Engaging the new toe edge helps to stop the rotation impulse.
Methodical Progression
- Demonstration of the final form and adapted technical explanation
- Stationary exercise: 180° jumps on flat ground (emphasizing the frontside rotation)
- Practice in the traverse: starting on the toeside edge
- Turn into the slope: starting on the toeside edge
- Practice in the traverse: switch
- Turn into the slope: switch
- Linking frontside 180° jumps
