SLIDING OUT OF THE FALL LINE

Goal

  • Targeted riding with the board in both directions
  • Initiating sliding out of the fall line
  • Controlling sliding out of the fall line
  • Stopping sliding out of the fall line

Where

Moderately steep, wide slope. Not too flat, to prevent catching an edge. Well-prepared, grippy piste.

How
Begin by sliding into the fall line. Then rotate into the riding position and shift weight onto the front foot.

To stop, the board must be put more strongly on edge from the ankle joint, and the upper body rotated back into the minus position.
