Where

Moderately steep, wide slope. Not too flat, to prevent catching an edge. Well-prepared, grippy piste.

How
start in a neutral riding position – Both Legs Equally Weighted ankles, knees and hips equally Bent, standing in the middle position. Shoulders and hips parallel with the board. Movement is initiated and speed is controlled form the ankle joints on both toe and heel edge.

In the minus position, whether toeside or heelside, sliding is initiated solely from the ankle joint, which also regulates speed.
